Pippa Park Raises Her Game is on sale in five days! So I am sharing five behind-the-book facts about our newest heroine:

#1 Pippa’s neighbor, Mrs. Lee, has a cat named Boz, which was inspired by Charles Dickens' pen name. 
#2 I like to take personality quizzes to develop my characters. For Myers-Briggs, Pippa is an ESFP (Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving).
#3 I chose to have Pippa Park play basketball because I played in middle school. However, Pippa is a lot better than me.  
#4 Kimchi-jjigae is one of my and Pippa’s favorite dishes. 
#5 Boys Over Flowers, a Korean drama, influenced my decision to have Pippa’s sister, Mina, own a laundromat.
